Treat bags and contests and prizes, oh my!
With the ongoing health crisis and the uncertainty surrounding Halloween events, the BCA has has decided to host a fun, family-friendly and socially-distanced Halloween event for Brookside residents. Much like the Easter Bunny deliveries earlier this year, we’re bringing the fun to you!
This Halloween, several of your BCA trustees will be dressing up and delivering treat bags to children throughout the neighborhood. Bags will include candy and small, festive toys. We encourage parents to register their children for this fun Halloween delivery as early as possible, as this will help the BCA budget for expenses and the amount of candy needed. Use the sign up form on this page, and be sure to include information about each child (high school and younger) you wish to receive a delivery.
In addition to the treat bag delivery, we’re continuing the new tradition of our Spooktacular and Autumn Harvest themed house decor contest. Judging will take place on October 25, so start dusting off those Halloween lights and decorations, because prizes will be involved!
We’ll also be hosting costume contests with prizes awarded for four costume categories: kids, adults, family/group, and pet. Contests will be held virtually, similar to our summer event, and residents will vote for their favorites. Other fun contests are being planned, and we’ll include further details in the coming weeks.
